General Guidelines:

Sewing classes last 3 months, 5 days a week and 5 hours a day. The space is open for at least 6 hours to allow the student to exercise by themselves!
The classes are given by an appointed teacher, who the students in turn help.
Each student is provided with a sewing machine which they will then be able to buy by microcredit if they are promoted!
Sewing and stationary supplies are provided!
The students receive for each day a written method which has been improved and completed over the years, as well as an introduction to marketing.

20 candidates are carefully selected, from 20 to 35 years of age. They must be motivated to learn sewing as a profession!
We chose both Muslim and Christian candidates, and for the last four courses we have had two women from leprosy families.
An assessment is given at the end of the course, and each candidate is given a certificate if they pass.

Criteria for the selection of candidates:

Women from 20 to 35 years of age, from different backgrounds, cultures, and religion. We also have two students who come from leprosy families.
Having received no previous professional training
Interested in learning how to sew for a living
Able to read and use the four basic mathematical operations
Motivation to learn, practice, and ultimately use their training as a profession!

The selection should be made by someone who knows our rules and goals well. The selection should be finished one month beore the beginning of classes.
Individual interview is compuslory. It involves:

1. Social living conditions

2. Level of general education and level in sewing(beginning, intermediate, advanced)

3. Motivation to learn and to use sewing to improve their living conditions.
